Cambridge Research Park Inspires Animators
Cambridge Animation Systems, who create state-of-the-art
special effects for major film studios like Warner Brothers, have just
taken a lease on a 3,000 sq.ft. facility at the Diomed building, Cambridge
Research Park.
Cambridge has a worldwide reputation for science-based industries,
and Cambridge Animation Systems, with their roster of international clients,
considered a Cambridge address to be of first importance to their business.
They were also attracted by the high-tech profile of the Park and its
strong IT infrastructure.
Although most of our business takes place over the
information superhighway, Cambridges prestige carries weight with
our clients comments Steve Holland, Cambridge Animation Systems
CEO. And the fact that we are half a world away from our major clients
is actually an advantage. The time difference between here and the States
means that we can take on and complete projects overnight
from their perspective.
Competitive rents and the growth potential of the
Park were other factors behind our move adds Steve, who moved the
company here from Castle Hill in Cambridge city centre. If our current
rate of expansion is sustained, well be ready to take on larger
premises here by the time our three year lease expires.
Theres also the natural advantage of being in a modern
light-filled environment. It counters the eyestrain of working at computers
day in and day out, and since our staff are our key asset, thats
very important to us.
