Developer of the Cambridge Research Park Meets with Local Parish Councils
6 May 2026 Suon Cambridge Ltd, a joint venture between Suon and Carisbrooke Investments, which owns the 100m Cambridge Research Park being built on the A10, Ely Road, Cambridge has set up a liaison committee to keep Waterbeach and Landbeach Parish Councils up-to-date on the progress of the project. Nic Rumsey, director of Carisbrooke Developments, commented, "We felt it extremely important that both local parish councils were happy with the progress we are making on site and we wanted to clarify any concerns they might have." The discussions included concerns regarding the works vehicles diverting through the villages and the conservation of the wildlife on the site. The Cambridge Research Park at Landbeach on the outskirts of Cambridge, which has outline planning permission for B1 Research and Development, laboratory and office buildings together with a hotel and ancillary facilities, a recreation area and wildlife refuge, has recently signed a pre-let with Diomed Limited, the world leader in surgical diode lasers, as the first tenant on Phase I. Nic Rumsey, adds, "We have listened to the views of the parish councillors and will be seeking to address concerns where possible." Carisbrooke will be giving a presentation of the scheme to the Landbeach Parish Council's AGM on 19th May which is open to parish residents.
